Ernesto Morales, Speaker of Assembly Appointee

Ernesto Morales is the CEO of North Star Alliances, which provides businesses and nonprofit organizations with consulting and services in five key areas: business development, community engagement, events, marketing and communications, and public relations.  Mr. Morales is a 15-year veteran in business development and public affairs and has extensive experience in delivering projects and programs that engage and empower communities in California and return maximum value to its clients.  Under his leadership, North Star Alliances produces 360-degree campaigns that include strategy development, marketing, communications, public relations, community engagement, creative partnership development and grassroots outreach.  North Star Alliances works extensively with local, state and federal elected officials to engage them and garner their support for their community-based projects and events. North Star Alliances’ clients include Coca-Cola, L.A. Care, Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, YMCA Metropolitan of Los Angeles, Anthem Blue Cross, Western Dental, California Community Foundation and Mercury Public Affairs, among many others.

 

Ernesto Morales has successfully developed cultural, educational, and fundraising events and initiatives on behalf of businesses and nonprofit organizations throughout his career. He has provided counsel and support to numerous business, nonprofits organizations, elected officials, and civic entities. Mr. Morales presently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF), Weingart East Los Angeles YMCA, and as a member of the YMCA Metropolitan of Los Angeles’ Urban Council.
He has also served on committees for various organizations including the American Cancer Society, The Whole Child, Think Together, Camp Ronald McDonald, Chivas USA Foundation, Pepperdine Hispanic Alumni Council, National Society of Hispanic MBAs, Diversity Employment Source Think Tank, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Triage Cancer, California State University at Dominguez Hills, El Camino College Community Action Services Advisory Committee, and the El Camino College Hispanic Endowment.

 

Mr. Morales received the PRism Award from the Public Relations Society of America Los Angeles Chapter, for his work on public service announcements for the American Cancer Society, which highlighted members of the Chivas USA Major League Soccer team providing messages in English and Spanish.

 

Mr. Morales graduated from Pepperdine University with a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.
