Douglas R. Tracy, Senate President Pro Tempore Appointee

Douglas R. Tracy of San Diego currently serves as an International Representative for the Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Association (SMART), representing Region 7, which includes California, Nevada, Arizona, and Hawaii. As part of his responsibilities he also assists other SMART representatives, as needed in different areas across the country.

Previously, Mr. Tracy held several key leadership roles within the labor movement, including Business Manager and Financial Secretary-Treasurer for SMART Local 206, President of the San Diego County Building Trades, and Vice President of the Imperial County Building Trades. His extensive experience also includes service on numerous boards and committees dedicated to advancing labor initiatives and workforce development.

Mr. Tracy was appointed to the California Employment Training Panel, where he continues to contribute his expertise to support workforce training and job creation efforts across the state.
