Status:  Open

Opportunity Type: Core Funding

Purpose:
In the State Fiscal Year 23/24 ETP Budget, the Panel allocated $10 Million to support job skills training for employers and workers in Agriculture and related sectors. This is a onetime allotment of the core Employment Training Panel Funds.

The application window opened in December 2023 and tentatively closes at the end of Fiscal Year 23/24 on June 28, 2024.

Eligibility:
Single Employer and Multiple Employer Contractors (MECs) eligible for ETP Core program are also eligible for Agriculture Initiative Funding. Eligible businesses may be in the Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing and Hunting sectors.

NAICS Codes 111110-115310 will be expedited for contract development under this initiative. This includes establishments primarily engaged in growing crops, raising animals, harvesting timber, and harvesting fish and other animals from a farm, ranch, or their natural habitats. ETP will review on a case by case basis any applicants that may be in Agriculture related companies, such as food packing, food processing, irrigation and fishing industries, for prioritization as well.

Eligible Trainees:
Full time workers and seasonal workers may qualify for reimbursement. For seasonal workers, ETP modifies retention and wage requirements to accommodate the cyclical nature of employment. Common eligible workplaces may include farms, ranches, dairies, greenhouses, nurseries, orchards, or hatcheries.
