Employment Training Panel (ETP) is accepting applications for SEED grants to help Community-Based Organizations (CBO) support refugees and immigrants that want to start their own microbusinesses

Application Window: January 26, 2026 at 8:00am – February 26, 2026 at 5:00pm

The Employment Training Panel and the Labor Workforce Development Agency is excited to announce the availability of up to $6,750,000 in California General Fund dollars for the New Grant Funding Opportunity – Social Entrepreneurs for Economic Development (SEED) 3 Grant. The purpose of SEED 3 is to support the entrepreneurship of immigrants and Limited English Proficient (LEP) individuals who face significant employment barriers. The SEED 3 grant will provide micro-grants, entrepreneurial training, worker cooperative and employee ownership support, and technical assistance to SEED target populations to support them in starting or maintaining a small business in California aimed at addressing a social problem or meeting a community need.
