Edward J. Rendon, Senate President Pro Tempore Appointee

With over two decades of experience in government affairs and organizational leadership Ed Rendon brings valuable insight and knowledge to his role on the Panel.

Since 2001, Ed has served as the Director of Public Affairs for Teamsters Joint Council 42, representing Southern California, Southern Nevada and Hawaii.

In 2010, drawing on years of labor, business, education and non-profit relationships, Ed established the San Gabriel Valley Civic Alliance. As chairman, Ed directs this non-partisan 501 (c)(6) business advocacy group focused on identifying solutions and realizing positive outcomes for its members.

Ed has consulted on labor, transportation, light-rail, bio-fuel, and education projects and was a member of Los Angeles Trade Tech Labor Center daculty and advisory committee. He presently serves on the Vernon Business Development Commission.

Ed earned an M.A. in Guidance & Counseling from Eastern Michigan University in 1993 and a B.A. in Psychology from Loyola Marymount University in 1991. he resides with his family in Chino Hills, California.
