Michael Greenlee, a professional in the field of unionized labor, has been an active Union Glazier since 1994. Currently, he holds the position of Political and Communications Director for District Council 16, International Union of Painters and Allied Trades. Over the years, Mr. Greenlee has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to his union, serving in various capacities on the Executive Board of his Local Union and representing his peers as a delegate for the last 15 years. Furthermore, he contributes to the welfare of his membership across California as a Trustee on retirement and health and welfare trust funds.
In his role as Political Director, Mr. Greenlee oversees legislative initiatives, fostering collaboration with public officials and community stakeholders to advance the interests of construction industry workers. He also manages the Political Action Committee Fund, ensuring support for candidates who advocate for labor-friendly policies.
As Communications Director, Mr. Greenlee is responsible for crafting and disseminating both internal and external messaging. His leadership extends to managing impactful initiatives, including the Walter Cantrell Scholarship Fund, the District Council 16 Volunteer Activist Committee, and the Painters and Allied Trades for Children’s Hope fundraising events.
