Gloria Bell, Governor Appointee

Gloria was appointed to the California Employment Training Panel by Governor Jerry Brown in 2013.  Gloria received her B.S. from Chapman University in Organizational Leadership and also holds a certificate in Human Resources from Golden Gate University.   Gloria has over 25 years of Human Resource and Safety experience.  Gloria grew up throughout California migrating with parents who followed the seasonal crops working throughout California and lived in labor housing until the age of 18. Gloria settled in the Salinas Valley where she raised her family.

Gloria’s work experience includes: Vineyard and Winery operations at Chalone Vineyard, pre-packaged salads at Fresh Express Farms, modification and controlled atmospheres applications for TransFRESH International, corrugated manufacturing at Temple-Inland Paperboard, Packaging, fresh berries at Driscolls.

Gloria was also the recipient of the DuPont’s Agricultural Safety Professional “Always Safe” Award 2012.

Gloria has also served as Board Member and Chair of the Soledad Hospital District for 21 years and as Trustee and Chair to the Soledad Union School District for 11 years.
